This decision has been made early in the response to the Joint Venture Board’s belief that marine industry companies will have significant promotional opportunities through the Rugby World Cup 2011 festival of events throughout New Zealand and the Auckland International Boat Show during September/October. With this year’s increased events, organisers appreciate potential exhibitors may struggle to include a presence at the Waikato Boat Fishing and Leisure Show. It is also acknowledged that some companies have been adversely affected by the Christchurch earthquake and their energies and resources are focussed on restoring their capability in that regard.

 

The Joint Venture Board are now planning for a new look Waikato Boat, Fishing & Leisure Show in 2012 when the industry looks to capitalise on the cash injection to New Zealand’s economy from the Rugby World Cup and the rural sector following a couple of years of good farming returns.

 

Advice of the planned dates for 2012 will be advised in the near future.
